URBAN BOOKS AUTHORS & WRITERS OF AMERICA

About Me

Born January 29, 1978 in Sumter, South Carolina, Dawn Elaina Jasper Harris was the only child born to Terry and Joseph Harris. With her parents divorcing after five years of marriage, Dawn was raised by her mother and grandparents, Geneva and Joseph Jasper.

Living a rural life gave Dawn a reason to nurture her imagination at a very young age. Her boundless imagination, along with her love for books kept her quite occupied. The “company” she kept between the ages three to about seven-and-a-half, included her super spy husband “Peter” and Peter’s nefarious arch-rival, code name, “Ankle”.Peter and Ankle regaled Dawn, and she, in turn, shared these stories with her mother and grandmother. But, as time went on, Peter and Ankle had to also. But, this did not hinder Dawn’s ability to create and be self-entertained. Her imagination was just getting started. Her next project was a soap opera written at age eight. Obviously, adult soaps was not her cup of tea, thus entered 15 year old Piper, her story’s heroine. Dawn’s writings endured throughout her entire school career and  her entire time in the military. During both times her work was highly recognized by teachers and colleagues alike.

After encouragement from friends and family, Dawn has decided to share her hobby with the world. Her ability to create characters you love, or simply love to hate, will have you yearning for more. Stories laced with truths, covered in lies…your fantasy is her reality.
