About Me

I enjoy writing because it is a form of expression. I have a beautiful wife and daughter that motivate me to want more out of life. God has blessed me with my two leading ladies and they are my number 1 fans. I am attending Lehman College and getting my graduate degree in Middle School and High School Education. I recently wrote a short story entitled Voiceless and it is available for the Nook and Kindle devices. I plan on writing a series of short stories and putting them all together to make a book of short stories. My stories will touch on social issues because I want my readers to get a sense of the world we live in.

About Me

For sixteen years of my life Yugoslavia was my country, Serbo-Croatian was my language, and my name Snjezana, meaning Snow-White, was commonly Yugoslavian. Then everything changed. Territory was divided, cities were renamed, people ethnically labeled, and many of “Snow-White’s dwarfs” took guns and became soldiers. Conflicts and violence spread as deadly disease and Yugoslavia became a war-devastated country. But, I was among people who got the opportunity to survive, to find their refuge, and to tell their stories.

My writing was published in numerous European publications including magazines San, Ty& Ja, Pribechy Lasky, Lasky Do Kabelky, and Divka. In 1996, I received Frintiskove Lazne Prize for Literature. My stories and poems were read on Radio Sarajevo in Yugoslavia, Radio Brno, Radio Plzen, and CT 1 television program in the Czech Republic, and Literary Event of Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch, Texas.

Currently, I focus on conveying a message of peace, I write, and I enjoy my life, without the dwarfs and without a fairy tale.

About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Donna Osborn Clark. God gave me the gift of art. I am thankful to be working with the gift HE gave to me. I am a visual/graphic artist specializing in multiple mediums. My company is Creation By Donna where I design book covers, logos, banners, marketing materials, and other graphic designs. I do graphic work for several growing publishing companies and magazines. I have always been a visual person (and not always good with finding words to express myself) but sometimes God has other plans for us and shows us things within ourselves that we never thought possible. I have written a children's book that I am now working on the illustrations for and will publish later this year. I also write some poetry and love reading poetry. I look forward to reading the works of the talented people here.

What's your favorite book and why?

Wow so many. I love books and have always loved to read. I would have to say my all time favorite is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. This is my favorite because it was the first book that I read by myself as a child. This book and it's rhyming dialogue also contributed to my love of poetry.

About Me

A little about the author:

I am new to this field, but I really enjoy writing and people enjoy reading what I write. I currently work full time. Yes, I and a so-called publisher who will remain unnamed published the original version of this story. Had I known what they were I never would have done it. I am looking for a publisher / agent who will assist me in bringing this story to the world. Many people have read this and have loved it. Many remarking that it would make a great movie. I think more as a mini-series but that is my opinion. The idea is one of a kind and as far as I know, has never been done before. I also have other works in progress.

About Me

I am new to the literary world as an author. I currently reside in the Metro DC area. My first novel, "Less Than Perfect Circumstance" was published in January, 2010. My second novel, and sequel, "Till It Happens To You", will be available on May 21, 2011. I take time to support other authors when I am not writing, obviously because I we all have a story to tell, and we have our own way of tell it.
